They want to screw the piece broken off the back of the tibia back on. I'm a little concerned about surgeons waving sharp things about near my Achilles tendon. :-(
Quick update No2: He's currently in hospital, they're keeping him in over night (much to his dislike). He's chatting up the nurses asking them to join him for Morphine shots (in front of me!) so I think he'll be just fine!
He'll be tomorrow, so any cards, flowers, chocolates are all welcome (especially by me :0))

Maybe I'll scrub in and make sure they don't do anything they're not meant to do!
