Yep, on the same day as Paris-Roubaix and hot on the heels of the first VCM monument ride of the year, comes the inaugural VCM 'Hell of the Tweed' off road ride.
The parcours will suit CX or MTB's and will take in some of the finest au naturale trails in and around Peebles as well as a jaunt down Gypsy Glen from the rarely used* 'western approach' or more rideable eastern approach (updated!).
Here's a wee taster:

Holla back if this tickles your fancy.
cheers! andy
*with good reason - involves 45min hike a bike to get up to ridge..

sounds like a glorious plan, loving the use of key words; "gentleman's pace"
I'll do my damndest to make it.
I will also be attending! Not ridden those trails for ages. MTB cassette on the cx bike or can you just suffer with a 12-25? :-)

Whoop! In.
Might chicken out and mtb it. New CX bike is still in shed, untouched since August (blush).
Yay! I will endeavour to find an appropriate / working bike combo by then...
Great.
Gypsy Glen probably more fun on an mtb (for high speed rut running, cheeky drop hopping, rock avoidance) but fine on a cx bike also.
Gearing - got round most bits ok on me jumpy bike with 34 x 26t gearing t'other day with occasional bit of grunting.
trails are riding super at the mo'.
